Citizens of some certain countries can get Vietnam visa exemption for the period of time, hereunder it’s stated by the Vietnamese Government.
Vietnam visa exemption for 24 countries :
- Free visa 90 days for: Chile
- Free visa 30 days for: Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Kyrgyzstan
- Visa-free 21 days for: Philippines
- 15 days free visa for citizens from: Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Finland, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belarus, (*).
- Free 14 days without visa for Brunei, Myanmar
Foreigners holding British National Oversea passports are not exempted visa to Vietnam.
Note:
The citizens from (*) countries wish to re-enter Vietnam under visa waiver again, the second entry cannot be earlier 30 days from the first visit.
Another passport holders who do not belong these Vietnam visa exemption countries or want to visit Vietnam longer than the authorized period of stay, can apply for Vietnam visa online through travel agents to be issued a visa on arrival at the airport.
Vietnam visa exemption for non-ordinary passports
Foreigners who hold the Diplomatic or Official/Service/Special passport of Republic of Armenia, People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Argentina Republic, People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Federative Republic of Brazil, Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Chile, Republic of Colombia, Republic of Cote D’ivoire, Republic of Dominican, Republic of Costa Rica, Republic of Cyprus, Republic of Czech, Republic of Ecuador, Arab Republic of Egypt, Republic of El Salvador, Republic of Estonia, Republic of France, Republic of Hungary, Republic of India, Republic of Iraq, State of Israel, Japan, Republic of Korea, State of Kuwait, Republic of Liberia, Republic of Malta, United Mexican States, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Republic of Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Kingdom of Morocco, Republic of Mozambique, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Republic of Panama, Republic of Paraguay, Republic of Peru, Russia Federation, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Seychelles, Republic of Singapore, Republic of Slovak, Republic of Slovenia, Republic of South Africa, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Kingdom of Spain, Switzerland Confederation, United Republic of Tanzania, Republic of Tunisia, Republic of Turkey, Ukraine, The United Arab Emirates, Oriental Republic of the Uruguay, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, does not require visa for 90 days.
Foreigners who hold the Diplomatic or Official/Service/Special passport of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Republic of Albania, Republic of Angola, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus, People’s Republic of China, Republic of Croatia, Republic of Cuba, Republic of Kazakhstan, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Republic of Nicaragua, Republic of Philippines, Romania, is granted visa-free for 30 days.
Certificates of Vietnam visa exemption
People who hold Certificates of Vietnam visa exemption do not require a visa to enter the country. This certificate is valid for up to 5 years and is exempted 180 days of stay. Also, it can be extended for a further 180 days. There is no limit on the number of entries or require a gap of each entry.
Vietnam visa exemption to Phu Quoc Island with conditions:
Visitors from around the world travel to Phu Quoc island will be exempted visa for 30 days. Visitors must
arrive at Phu Quoc directly from a third country or from airports in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City where they will clear immigration and
30 days visa exemption stamp at Phu Quoc airport.proceed to the domestic terminals. It’s really important to know this visa waiver policy apply for those who travel to the Island only, go to other parts of Vietnam from Phu Quoc’s Island later on your trip is not permitted.
Vietnam transit visa
Vietnam visa does not require for passengers who have the ticket layover less than 24 hours, providing they do not intend to leave the transit zones.

Whether you are required a visa to Vietnam or not, your passport MUST be valid for no less than 6 months prior to the trip and has at least 01 empty page left.
