Requirement to apply for a Vietnam E-visa
- A white background 4×6 portrait photo and passport ID page photo (Image type .jpg, size < 2MB), no glasses, polite clothes; bare head.

- Go to the official website of the Public Service Portal Ministry of public security: https://dichvucong.bocongan.gov.vn/, select “English” from the language menu, search for “electronic visa” and choose “Procedures for issuing electronic visas at the request of foreigners” => click to “submit application“.
- Enter your Email, then click “Get OTP” => Check your email and enter the “OTP code” received in the “Verification codes” box, then click “Email Authentication“.
- You need to upload a portrait and passport information page photo.
- The information declaration section has many different sections. Please declare truthful information and commit to it. Once completed, click “Agree and continue“.
- Please check the information again before clicking “Submit application“.
- Payment after submitting your application, you will receive a code as shown. Save it for reference and supplement if required. You can pay by domestic account or international payment card, choose accordingly.
Regular processing time
The Vietnam e-visa processing time is within 5 working days in Vietnam time (excluding weekends and the national holidays) after the fee is fully paid and the application is fully invalid. In case the application needs to be further verified by the Ministry of Public Security, the actual processing time may last from from 5 to 30 working days.
After getting a result, you have to print out or use QR code to do check in on arrival airport/borderland in Vietnam.
