In order to get a visa on arrival, applicants need to follow 3 simple steps as below:
- Fill in the Vietnam visa application form.
- Receive the visa approval letter or Vietnam Electronic visa (E-visa) via email after progressing time.
- Print out the letter and submit it after arriving at Vietnam International check points in Vietnam.

Immigration Procedures on arrival
After arriving at the airport, Timor-Leste visitors need to go to the immigration counter and submit:
- A scan of visa approval letter/invitation letter or Vietnam Evisa
- Valid passport (which still valid more than 180 days before coming)
- A recent photos size 4x6cm without glasses, bare head, look straight.
- Stamping fee incase you use visa approval letter/invitation letter (do not require for Evisa).
- Completed visa application form (form can be collected at airport or download online and completed in advance).
Submit all of the required documents and wait couple minutes. After checking, you will get a visa stamp and complete the procedures, then pick up luggage and leave the airport.
