Vietnam internship /student visa, categories DH, is issued to foreign pupils, students who come to study or participate in an internship. The duration of a DH visa is not longer than 12 months. Also, you can apply for the Temporary resident card – type of DH, which valid maximum for 2 years as well but you have to get the DH visa at first.

How to apply the Vietnam internship/student visa?
1. Where could you apply for the visa?
You can apply for the visa to Vietnam at the Vietnam Embassy or visa on arrival airport through agents in Vietnam. On this page, we just show you the requirements from the agents as each of the Vietnam Embassy may have their own requirement.
Application requirement:
- Notarized copy of the license of establishment of the office/education institution.
- Complete the NA2 form online https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn
- Complete form Na16 – registration form of signature and seal.
- A scan of the passport.
- A letter of recommendation from the company/education institution.
- The inviting letter from establishment of the company/education institution.
After processing time (3-5 working days), the agent will send you a visa approval letter. You have to print out the visa approval letter and submit it on arrival international airport in Vietnam. Before coming to Vietnam, you need to prepare 02 passport-photos in white background, your original passport and cash for stamping fee.
Tip: to save your time on arrival airport, you should fill in Vietnam visa application form in advance and prepare cash for stamping fee.

2. How much does Vietnam visa cost?
There are 2 types of fee you have to pay: service fee and stamp fee.

You need to prepare:
- 01 notarized copy of the license of establishment of the company/education institution.
- The inviting letter from the school
- The original passport with the valid visa categorized DH.
- Complete NA5 form for visa extension/ DH visa renewal (certified from inviting education institution).
- Proof of temporary residence registration by ward police.
- 02 photos (image size 4×6 cm), white background
- A letter of recommendation from your school
- Cash for stamping fee
Processing time: 5 – 7 working days.
Note: extra fee will be added when you want extend your visa through the agents.

Notes: A foreigner having temporary residence card or visa type of DH, valid over 6 months but less than 1 year, may invite or sponsor spouse and children below 18 years of age to visit Vietnam. Please check in here for the requirement.

Where could you submit and apply for internship/student visa in Vietnam?
Your application can be solved at the Immigration Department in:
- Ha Noi: 44 Trần Phú, Ba Đình District.
- Ho Chi Minh: 196 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, Ward 6, District 3.
- Da Nang: 07 Trần Quý Cáp, Đà Nẵng.
Note: Incase you could not provide enough document to get the student/study visa, you can choose to apply for the tourist/business visa to Vietnam.
