- Electronic visa (evisa) has the symbol Ev, maximum validity is 90 days for each use.
- Tourist visa (DL) issued for people who come to Vietnam for tourism and vacation. The duration of this type of visa can be 15 – 90 days, depending on the travel itinerary you propose to the travel company.
- Business visa (symbol DN) grants for who come to Vietnam to work and do business in short time. The duration of this type of visa can be 1 month, 3 months and can be extended while you are working in Vietnam.
- Study visa (DH type) issues for people coming to Vietnam to study. The maximum duration of this type of visa issued at the airport is 1 year, and can be extended during your stay and study in Vietnam.
- Working visa (LD type) grants for workers working in Vietnam. The maximum duration of this type of visa issued at the airport is 1 year, or depends on the duration of the foreigner’s labor contract with the sponsoring organization in Vietnam.
- Marriage visa (TT type) issues for people who married with a Vietnamese person. The validity of this type of visa is 3 months and can be used to grant a temporary residence card or visa exemption for 5 years after entering Vietnam.
- Investment Visa (symbol DT) grants to investors, showing capital contribution on the business license/investment license in Vietnam. This type of visa is issued at the checkpoints for a period of 3 months, then use to make for 1 – 5 years visa/TRC, when the foreigner can provide all the requirements at the Immigration Department.
How to get a Vietnam Visa on arrival form Denmark?
Applicants need to follow 3 simple steps as below:
- Fill in the Vietnam visa application form.
- Receive a visa approval letter or Vietnam E-visa via email.
- Print out the letter and submit it at “Landing visa office” after arriving at Vietnam International checkpoints (airport, land port or seaport…) to get a full stamp into your passport.

Once you have your visa results, you need to:
- Print out, black and white copy is accepted.
- Check that the passport has at least 1 page remaining and is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
- In case of using visa approval letter, you need to prepare a stamping fee, 02 photos size 4x6cm, and prepare NA1 form – visa application form which can also obtain when you arrive the check points.
Upon arrival checkpoints in Vietnam
First, you need to find the visa counter; present your passport and the above documents to the customs officer for inspection.
Customs officers will check and confirm the information on your documents and records. If there are no problems, you will be asked to pay the visa application fee.
After paying the visa application fee, you will receive your passport back with the visa stamp/sticker. You need to carefully check the information on the visa to ensure there are no errors. If there is any problem, you need to contact the staff at the visa application counter immediately to have it resolved.
